About

I am currently preparing my dissertation about “Evaluating the Role of Regional Development Policies in Fostering Local Economic Development: the case of Saudi Arabia”. It is aimed at exploring the regional level of development planning as a proposed potential for raising the level of development in the localities which are less favoured from the overall flourishing country.

I am doing my PhD in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape at the University of Newcastle in the UK. I completed my B.Sc. in the School of Architecture and Planning at King Saud University in 1998. Thereafter, I was offered a full-time job at the same school as a teaching assistance and then was awarded a scholarship to pursue my master degree in the US. I completed the degree of Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University in the US in 2003.
